Great news for IFTTT fans, the automation tool has announced an impressive funding round worth $24 million pounds today, that’s over £17M!

This brings the total funding in IFTTT to a staggering $63M, over £45M!

They announced they plan on spending the money on a recruitment drive as well as expanding its platform. The investment comes from a powerhouse group of investors including Salesforce Ventures and IBM.

Linden Tibbets, IFTTT’s CEO commented:

“Every business is undergoing a dramatic transformation into a digital service. We are on a mission to bring trust and compatibility to a future in which everything around us becomes a new app and another login.”

He continued on to add:

“We could not be more excited to partner with our new investors, our passionate users, and every business working hard to become a service.”

IFTTT stands for If This Then That and allows you to connect your smart home tech, as well as lots of other tech, in never possible before combinations. The tool has now been going for over 8 years with very little competition, other than Stringify. Stringify was acquired by Comcast in September 2017 for an undisclosed sum.
